Eastern State Penitentiary
Eastern State Penitentiary is one of the oldest prisons in America. It started as a Quaker isolation prison in colonial times, but became a more traditional prison after it was determined that isolation was terrible for prisoners. It is now abandoned and operated as a museum in Philadelphia.
